ABOUT
Mabel is the second culinary collaboration from chef-owners Laura Brahn and Grace Crossman, the team behind Asbury Park favorite Cardinal Provisions. With Mabel, they set out to create a restaurant where hospitality is felt everywhere— at the bar, in The Lounge, at every table in The Dining Room and most importantly, where guests are welcomed as regulars from their very first visit.
Named for Mabel Gardiner Bell, wife and intellectual partner of Alexander Graham Bell, the restaurant honors a woman whose influence was lasting and deeply human. Her passions for horticulture and ornithology are woven throughout the space, alongside architectural references to Bell Works, creating an environment that feels thoughtful, warm, and meant to be lived in.
In the kitchen, tradition and technique take center stage. A dedicated pasta maker and pastry chef produce handmade pastas and pierogis and refined yet comforting desserts—many crafted in full view through our pasta window. The menu celebrates the seasons with vibrant vegetables, responsibly sourced proteins, and inclusive options for vegetarian and gluten-free diners.
